Mobile home homeowners insurance question?

I have had a policy in force for nearly 2 years that i bought online from American Modern, or American Family Home (the paperwork has both names on it) and i have recently made an acquaintance with a local insurance agent that would like to write me a policy with Foremost Insurance. She seems to think that since i bought the policy online that if i had a claim it would be denied and because i don’t know who i am doing business with i could potentially get or be getting ripped off. I told her i sent pictures of my home and property to the company prior the approval and policy in force. So, is one insurance company better than another? Or, just this person just want my money? Thanks in advance.

Foremost is better for your community because they pay your acquaintance the local agent, which allows the agent to pay the rent on the agent’s office, which allows the landlord to pay the taxes, which keeps the police employed, etc.

Online sellers of anything, from insurance to airline tickets, take away business from local agents and this affects local economies.

But a policy from an agent is not better for you than a policy from a website.

Historically, the opposite is true.

Often, when a person buys from an agent, the agent tricks the person into doing something wrong on the insurance application that later gives the insurance company an excuse to deny a claim.

If you buy online, although it is still possible for a claim to be denied for other reasons, you eliminate one of the potential problems with buying from an agent.
